100 Days of Spinning – Day 22

I deliberately spun thicker today than I have for the last few days. I have been pushing the edge of “how thin can I go?” When I was plying that thin yarn last night, two times one of the strands broke because it was TOO thin. So now, I want to practice the control of keeping it a bit thicker and see how good I can get at making it be just what I want. I’m really glad I got a pound of this roving, because it’s excellent to practice with. I still have almost half of it left.

This video is a little trip through the last three weeks of spinning, with the results of my daily practice from the beginning through yesterday. Wow.

Until tomorrow.

Spread the love
