My Daily Spin – Am I Doing This Right?

My mind is an amazing place sometimes, and not in a good way. Since I’ve decided to take my spinning wheel to use in my class next week, I’m also thinking about taking my remaining hankies to spin in my spare time outside of class. As soon as that thought crossed my mind, I came up with all kinds of reasons why I shouldn’t.

Here’s the thing: yes, I might not want to do my own spinning outside of class. Class might be plenty. But why not at least have the option? There’s some fear at work here.

And what that fear boils down to is this: what if I’m doing it “wrong” ? And everyone sees that? Which is really funny, in a skill where it’s right if you like it. And I might even learn something useful.

Until tomorrow.

Wow! I appreciate this topic for I am tuned into these thoughts & I can’t count on my hand how stuck I’ve stayed. It’s all relative, isn’t it?! I’ve discovered recently I’ve continued beliefs (& actions) that don’t support my present spirit whether it be jobs, creativity, people I no longer feel good around, so it boils down to ” my thinking makes it so”! I have confidence you’re doing” EVERYTHING” right & our thinking makes it so:)
I can’t wait to hear what you spin on your trip!!!

Hi Catherine, Fear is a bad master, and even though I’ve done a ton of work around that it still sneaks up on me. Owning up to it helps tremendously! I’ve learned that my fear won’t kill me, I just have to be brave enough to walk through it.
